This pattern was one that I have made several times over the years.  It is fun, easy, and makes an adorable Baby Quilt/Blanket.

For the Blanket you need:

2 1/4 yards of fabric for the backing and binding

1/4 to 1/3 yards of 12 different fabrics.  The fabrics can be in totally different color pallet or they can be in the same pallet and progress from light to dark.  Below are pictures of the fabrics that I used for the most recent quilts.

Cut 3 strips of each color 1 1/2″ wide by approximately 45″.
