Reverse Osmosis (RO) filters should be replaced every 6 to 9 months. The cost of the filters can be significant, but add to that the cost to hire some one to replace them for you, it can quickly add up to a significant expense.
In this video, I am going to show you how to change the RO filters on a quick release and quarter turn RO System. The replacement is a quick and easy process and should not intimidate you from trying this replacement yourself.
After Filters are Changed
- Turn on RO Faucet until water runs clear
- If there is a valve on the tank, open the valve and let the water run until it becomes a trickle
- Shut off the RO faucet and allow the system to recharge for 2 to 3 hours
- After 2 – 3 hours, turn on the RO faucet and drain the system to flush out any contaminates
